Talktalk Mail Plus Started Charging £50 a Year for Email

Talktalk Mail Plus started charging £50 a Year for Email to Non-Talktalk Customers or Ex-Talktalk Customers. Talktalk Mail Plus is a service in which you can use Talktalk Email for your Business.

When you are in contract with Talktalk at that time, this is free. Once you Discontinued the Talktalk service, you have to pay £5 monthly. Another option is you can pay £50 annual to continue with Talktalk Mail Plus.

Welcome to Talktalk Mail Plus

In the year 2020, TalkTalk will start charging for their Talktalk mail plus addresses. If you’re no longer a customer of their home broadband service. This also includes email addresses from companies that they have bought out in the past, such as

  • Pipex.com
  • homecall.co.uk
  • lineone.net
  • onetel.com
  • screaming.net
  • tinyonline.co.uk
  • tinyworld.co.uk
  • tiscali.co.uk
  • toucansurf.com
  • ukgateway.net
  • worldonline.co.uk.

So if you’ve got a Talktalk email address or any one of those email addresses, similarly, you’re no longer a Talktalk broadband customer. Then you may get this email that says you’ve got to pay for your email address.

You don’t want to pay for your email address, or you no longer a TalkTalk broadband customer, and you will need to set up a new email address.

Something like yahooHotmailGmail email address, or an email address with your current internet Service provider. But you will lose access to your emails from the day that shows you on the email.

I understand it depends on your account depending on when they will close it down, so everybody’s state is different.

What is Talktalk mail plus?

I understand £50 a year is more amount for a Talktalk mail plus, per email address. If you and other family members have got Talktalk email addresses, you have to pay for each email address, but let’s say if you’re still a home broadband customer of Talktalk, you won’t have to pay this.

If you do get one of these emails from Talktalk, then it may be that they haven’t associated your email address with your current broadband account, i.e., you may have left them at some point and rejoined.

You might need to inform them, but if you do get an email and you asked about a home broadband customer, please contact them on 03451720088. That number is included in any call allowances that you have on your telephone or mobile phone.

Talktalk mail plus sign up

Want to do TalkTalk mail plus sign up, you can create a new email address. If you use a company server for a webmail service, you will lose access to that.

So bear in mind any folders you’ve set up you will lose access to, so you might need to find a way to save those details.

One way of doing that would be to download and install Thunderbird on your computer and connected to your TalkTalk account via IMAP.

It will download all of your emails and the folders to your computer. If you sell any new email account that you’ve might have set up, you have to recreate those folders in the new email account under Thunderbird.

Then copy your messages from those folders into the folders on the new email address.

How to Protect your Email from Scammer

If you do get an email from anyone and ask you to pay some money, I would recommend calling Talktalk customer service.

Rather than acting upon an email, it is better to contact customer service to handle it very well. Out there trying to give over your credit card details to a scammer.

To be on the safe side, if you do want to pay for the service, give them a call on this number 03451720088. It is an official Customer service number.

If you want to double-check, obviously look for any numbers on any bits of paperwork you might have from them.

Sometimes you might find this an older number, or you can go onto their website to talktalk.co.uk and search for their telephone number.
