One Day Star Leo Woodall’s Dad Is Also A Famous Actor

If you’re like us, you’ve probably spent the last 48 hours grappling with whether or not to get through the rest of One Day before the end of the weekend, or split up the episodes to get the most out of Dexter and Emma. previous love story… the inevitable.

This latest adaptation of David Nicholls’ much-loved story stars Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall in the lead roles of Emma and Dexter – and if you’re having trouble remembering where exactly you recognize them from, chances are you’ve seen them in It’s Gonna Hurt or I Hate Suzie.

Leo’s stepfather was Alexander Morton of Monarch Of The Glen, while his great-grandmother was Maxine Elliott, a silent film star in the 1910s.

In a recent interview with the Guardian, Leo opened up about growing up in a family made up of so many actors, revealing that his father jokingly told him: “Whatever you do, don’t be a fucking actor.”

He added: “I was very nervous about what my family would think of me as an actor. Just, ‘am I OK?’. I always felt personal pressure to succeed. And they are always amazing and supportive.

“Just like a lot of kids want to make their families proud, who want to be successful, to be the best at what they do… It’s definitely a deal. This has nothing to do with their circumstances. It was completely self-inflicted. And that’s okay, I think. That is a motivation.”
