Olly Alexander is still teasing his fans as they eagerly await news about his upcoming Eurovision song.
Last year, the former Years & Years frontman revealed he would represent the UK at Eurovision in May, being held in Malmö following Loreen’s win for Sweden in 2023.
So far, he’s been giving Eurovision fans little crumbs to keep us all interested (leading many to conclude that his competitor’s song will be called Dizzy), and on Tuesday, unveiled a new teaser clip.
And to our all surprise, the video saw him team up with BBC Breakfast favorite Carol Kirkwood.
In a fake weather report, the It’s A Sin star teased that there would be a “rare phenomenon of dizziness” hitting the UK in the near future, seemingly confirming rumors about the name of the song.
“From what we can see, these dizzy times are still not over, and we don’t know yet whether these difficult times will continue to circle around or return to the beginning.
Of course, this isn’t news to some of you, as some of you have been warning us about what the future holds, but we don’t yet have the full picture.
He then urged fans to “pay attention to the temperature variations on the map behind me”, including the numbers 11, 1, 29 and 7.Olly and Carol as seen in their unlikely collaboration
The clip ends with a short teaser for Olly’s Eurovision song, which he will perform at the contest later this year.
Olly’s mysterious Eurovision single was co-written with Danny L Harle, whose credits include Houdini and Dua Lipa’s Training Season, as well as songs by Caroline Polachek, Charli XCX, Liam Gallagher and Rina Sawayama.
The chart-topping singer previously said: “As a young person, I always looked forward to extraordinary events filled with unbridled joy, a wildly chaotic mix of musical styles, theatrical performances, heartfelt emotions and humour.
“I really couldn’t believe I would be part of such a special legacy and fly the British flag in the gayest way. It would be an honor.”
